KnotWorker is the quick and easy solution to making Celtic knotwork patterns, whether professional or just for fun, in print or for the web.

KnotWorker is Goldcup Software's free knotwork design tool for Windows. Even if you have no experience of Celtic knotwork design you'll be creating knots in minutes. Here are just a few features:

• Quickly draw knotwork designs without any previous experience
• Edit the flow of knots using the Breakline Editor
• Arrange your designs on a page using drag and drop
• Use the 60 KnotStyles supplied with KnotWorker to give character to your knots - or create your own!
• Add image effects, including colour phase and outline
• Quickly change the colour of a knot, rotate, flip, and control layer position
• Save your design in the Windows Bitmap format for use in your favourite word processor, DTP program or graphics editor
• Save your design in the native KWD format for editing later
• Tutorials teach you how to draw knots and how to create your own KnotStyles using the KnotStyle Editor

Minimum Specifications

• PC with 486 or higher processor
• Microsoft Windows (from Win 95 onwards)
• 8MB of memory
• 10MB of hard-disk space

Download KnotWorker 1.2 Free

KnotWorker is now freeware and is free to download and use.

There is no need to register, and there are no advertisements or additional software included in the installation.

Be careful of downloading from other sites, as they often insert unwanted extras. This is the official install file.

KnotWorker is legacy software originally built for Windows 95. It works fine on Windows 11, but the help system is a little quirky.

Download Free Extra KnotStyles

Here are a few extra KnotStyles (like different fonts for your knotwork designs) to add to KnotWorker.

Here's what to do:

1. Make sure you've installed KnotWorker.
2. Download the Extra KnotStyles zip file.
3. Extract the file.
4. Select all the KnotStyles (KNS files) and copy them.
5. Make sure KnotWorker is closed.
6. Locate the KnotWorker folder on your computer. It's usually at C:\Program Files (x86)\KnotWorker.
7. FInd the KnotStyles folder there and paste in the extra KnotStyles.
8. Open KnotWorker and you should find the new KnotStyles in the drop-down list.
